Sports Day: Initial Prep

After much sketching, preparation and mindstorms, I completed the poster for sports day. My preliminary idea had been inspired by one of the themes that ran through Pauline's poster, that of the olympic games, and after some adjustment I created a life-sized Olympic torch, out of pastel paper and crepe paper, and hung it up on the board in a holder, so that students can pick it up and carry it, should they wish to do so. My peers have expressed concerns that the younger students in particular could decide to just rip it, but I certainly hope that will not be the case.

I've also finished the sign for the athletics' activity, which I found out is long-jump, and the map. I haven't really been informed of the amount of maps we'll be needing, but I thought that it would be best to assume that we will need one for each group of students, so in order to save paper, I've made them A5 format, rather than the traditional A4. On the back we could maybe have the schedule for when each group goes to which activity.

Our little group that's organising the obstacle course has met up several times to just share ideas in an unstructured way, but tomorrow, we're going to formally make a plan as we need to run it by our supervising teacher on Friday.
